My Philosophy As An Educator

My Philosophy As An Educator

Teaching is not filling up the pail, it is about lighting a fire.

Educator's role is not just about relaying information to learners and students are not always the passive receivers of knowledge.  They must also explore and discover their own meaning of life and every thing in this world.  We educators are their guides in order to reach their dreams in life.  Basically, every unique individual needs secure, caring and stimulating ambiance in which to grow intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially.  It is a desire of an educator to help students meet their prospectives by providing a place which is safe, sustains adventure and encourages a sharing of knowledge.

As what I have heard in the public nowadays, to be a teacher is so simple.  It is just about imparting knowledge and teaching good moral and right conduct, but as a matter of fact, being an educator is a difficult task.  You should be cognizant to what are the words to utter and the deeds to act, to be always fine in entering a class even bombarded with dilemmas and must be the second parent of the students.  Thus, it has never been so easy in doing this kind of profession.  It may always be underestimated among other profession, however, the truth prevails that there would be no engineers, doctors, businessmen and other careers without us mind molders.  We are one of the reasons to let everyone escape from the world of ignorance and the helpers of the hope of any nation for the betterment of the upcoming future.

For myself, educating provides equal learning opportunity for continuous learning of development.  I believe that in this very competitive society it is so essential for students to not only depend on receiving a solid education, but as well as to work with someone who is attentive enough and responsive to their needs.  I am such a person who strives to be the best educator that I can be.

  1. Being a teacher is indeed the most important profession. And, we are lucky enough to be chosen in this vocation. So, let's not feel that we are underestimated because they are just insecure. I wanted to read more about how you will be as a teacher. Hopefully in the next few activities we will have online, you'll be able to share few so that i can have a chance to get to know you more as well.
