PRELIM EXAM

1. Discuss how Modelling and Scaffolding  affect in the child's learning progress.

Modelling: meaning the demonstration of the temporal process of

thinking.

Scaffolding: meaning support of students so that they can cope with
the task situation. The strategy also entails the gradual withdrawal of
teacher from the process, when the students can manage on their
own.

These two terms are commonly used for teaching.  These pedagogies greatly affects the learning progress of the children for the fact that it is all about demonstrating the lesson well to be understood and to be retained in their minds.  We all know that children are visual learners, they effectively learned when they saw the process and children are more likely love to do direct purposeful experience or first-hand experience.  In these strategies, children will be able to think in a higher order, their thinking can go beyond their thinking and will be able to have their own learning styles.  However, when these two pedagogies are improperly done, there is a big possibility of ineffectiveness. The teachers must be well trained and have a huge knowledge of the strategies so that it can be effective in the teaching-learning process.
